In this presentation Cormac Garvey – Hal Software, will discuss the concept of using prototyping for a batch control system. Prototyping is a relatively new concept in control systems, but is standard in many other industries. In this talk Cormac will cover off what exactly prototyping can be used for in process control, what are the benefits of prototyping and how one would go about using prototyping.
Cormac will then give a practical demonstration of how one would build a prototype of a simple batch process control system using the ISA-S88 design
pattern.
