ISA - Setting the Standard for Automation
ISA Ireland hosted an unique function late 1997. They secured the co-operation of Siemens, Flomeaco and Douglas Electronics in a fieldbus roadshow on the ProfiBus open system visited Europes fastest growing city, Galway before going on to Limerick, Cork and Waterford.
The show was well attended at each venue and people travelled some distances to attend these sessions when clear explanations were given and interesting applications presented.

The technical meeting had practical demonstrations of Profibus with products from a number of vendors and both Siemens and Flomeaco giving presentations. These presentations were designed to answer the concerns of those involved in the design and implementation of control and automation systems.
