Efficient Use of Services
Energy Saving is not just about shutting down unnecessary items of plant, but about a combined approach to the entire operation of the plant. Plant Efficiency is about scheduling production so as to minimise the demand for the services i.e. Electricity, Water, Air etc and to make the best use of these services when they are available.
Monitoring & Targeting.
To make savings you must know what your costs are in the form of energy services. Then you can see the areas where you can achieve higher efficiencies by new equipment or product scheduling.
Plant Efficiency WHY?
The reasons why you should spend money to save money are easily justified when you consider that these savings will continue long after the cost of the changes have been recouped. No one will argue that the cost of energy is increasing and by maximising the efficiency of your plant you will continue to improve your competitiveness and meet your moral and, in the not too distant future, legal obligation for environmental awareness.
