11 March 2008 Student Technical Talk held in Sligo IT
This Paper and Demonstration showed how you can access - via an Internet Portal - all Documentation, Technical Information, Operator Manuals, Calibration Certificates, Instrument/Device Configurations, Spare Part Lists, Product Availability Information for all your E+H Field Devices and how 3rd. Party Products can be accommodated.
Additionally, whether you are using HART, or PROFIBUS or Foundation Fieldbus field devices it showed - by the usage of the "enabling technology" FDT / DTM and FieldCare - how you can do Condition Monitoring on All Field Devices and use the Diagnostic Facilities to identify "stressed field devices" and thus drastically reduce breakdowns and extend calibration intervals.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of former ISA Ireland President John Farrell.

John was honoured at the honours and awards ceremony last December with the ISA Ireland Pioneer Award. Biographical details may be found on our 2007 honours and awards pages.

The annual presentation of honours and awards was held in the Common Room of University College, Cork on Monday 11th December 2005. The Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Seán Martin, attended.

Honoured by Society
Right: At the Leaders meeting held earlier this summer Éamon Creech (left) was selected to receive the ISA Distinguished Society Service Award (DSS) and Eoin Ó Riain was selected for the ISA Golden Achievement Award. The awards are to be presented at the Societies Annual Awards Banquet in Houston in the US this autumn.
The DSS was awarded to John Lotty in 2006, and to Liam McDonnell in 1987.
The Golden Achievement award was presented to Maurice Radford in 2006, and to Bob Shine in 2003
